This week has been amazing..

So i'm updating..at last? haha..

CNY ..normal la..after 20 yrs of routine there's ntg much to say rite..

This yr my sis gotta stay longer at grandparents' place..

And i din go back Penang!!

it does feel kinda funny not going visiting in Penang..

but i gotta stay over at Grandaunt's place for 2 nites! Woot!

I love my grandaunt's place man..

It's got the KL view,

Lovely furniture..

24-hr Air-Con ;)

24-hr good internet connection..

but most of all: 46" TV!!

Those 2 days were unforgettable..

Went to midvalley, Jalan pahang for hokkien mee

Grandma and 2 grandaunts gossiped and yak yak yak from morning till night..

Those 3 sistas just got unending topics..lol

Anyways..back to school tomorrow..

This feeling is horrible..even worse than secondary days..

What a Girl Wants

Dragonball: very lame ler.. but at least i know who is who now..i still remember being very blur and bored during orientation variety night coz i didn't know the characters..

What a girl wants: its an old show..but much much better than dragonball..
The songs are really nice..as well as the story..always nice to watch happy ending movies =)

ok back to assignments..(which are really like ALOT)

I went for the effects,

and boy was i satisfied..

Too bad i missed the 1st one last year, heard it was better.

Few things i learned from the movie:

1. Transformers actually transform from cars! lolx =.=" XD

2. Anything's possible if you're a machine =p
I mean the changing of spare-parts

3. Anything's possible with technology as well
(i just love looking at Shanghai getting blasted!!)

I just came back from the hair dresser.

My hair looks so straight!!

I'm not used to it.

And it smells of chemicals too..

Earlier today I managed to collect my IELTS results -- Band 8 Yippeeee!

Mum sent Yanmin to her combined cf camp.
We dropped by 1Stop after that and I bought my new BIBLE.
I'm Lovin' it!! It's got this leather cover and it's nicely coloured brown and black.
Although I bought the more expensive alternative (the cheapest was only 27 bucks), I'm 100% sure it's gonna last me quite a while.

Yesterday's ODJ:

Why did she have to say 'i..', couldn't she have just said no? What if she's not telling me something? Maybe she's hiding what she really feels.......

Happy World Milk day!

I woke up at 12 in the afternoon,
followed Mum to Sunshine,
met MingSiew at the counter,
asked her about the USM blunder,
went to renew Driving Licence (when i don't need it),
searched high and low for Living Spirit,
couldn't find it and gave up in the end,
came home,
tried to post but the connection was BAD,
trying to upload pictures here but still didn't work,
took roast chicken and mushroom soup for dinner,
watched the "fat" hk series on tv,
And trying to load pictures again..

My Weekend

Friday:
Followed my mum to her school. It's kinda new so it's still quite messy at certain areas. Constructions going on here and there..you know..dust flying around..
The labs are located at the highest storey (6th floor). Good thing they have lifts if not I'll pengsan halfway.

Sunday:
We had Uncle Geam Liang lead us for praise and worship. We learned quite a number of new "old-songs". Wee Vian shared about her mission trip in Sarawak. I have been longing to go for one but never had a chance to.

I received the loveliest gift from Lay Chen:

After service I followed my family to lunch at some kopitiam in town. The place was not bad, with the air-cond and nice service, but the food was toooooo salty. I think they get the salt on a Tesco Sale day. Even my Favourite "Kao-Yok" (Pork with Yam) tasted yuck.
We went to Komtar after that. Mum and Dad bought batik from this very cool shop. The whole shop sells pure original batik. Perfect for my fussy mum XD

We reached home at about 4. I got myself a pair of shoes. Was shopping for hp but still undecided on a perfect one. Yes I'm being fussy about it.

At night we went to tesco for dinner. Yanmin had to meet up with friends to discuss CF Camp matters. Me and my parents loafed around for an hour or so, even though we were dead tired.

When we got home at last, I still managed to online for 2 hours! There were many people online so I couldn't stop typing.

When You're in Doubt

Just finished watching Doubt.

I like these kind of movies. The plot is so simple and yet portrayed so artistically, unlike many other award winners (bluek). And at the end there's even a lesson to learn.

"In the pursuit of evil, one steps away from God."

I remember trying to watch "deeper" and more philosophical movies. Yup, I ended up sleeping on the sofa. What for waste your time watching something you don't even understand. Well maybe when I get older I'll appreciate them better. Hopefully.

Movies, to me, has to be entertaining, but not misleading. Hollywood has done a very bad job at this. Shows that are entertaining always, if not often, add in immoral words or topics. Yeah, they always seem to have a good lesson to teach at the end. But unconsciously they have poisoned minds with the slightest of acts (eg. smoking, no-no words & thoughts).

I'm no film expert. But I know how they can influence. Because I was, and still am, very much influenced by these movies/ tv shows.
Filming is art. And it's gotta be good art. So stop using tomato sauce and play guns or whatever canggih technology to promote violence. It's bad for you, and your children, and your children's children, and your children's children's children, ......

The whole Gang of us went for steamboat at Macalister yesterday. Taking steamboat in such hot weather wasn't a good idea. I wonder who suggested it. I could practically see everyone's face expanding like a tomato, especially Kee May's lol.

The food was MaMaDei. Can't expect alot from steamboat. I've never liked it that much anyways. However it was a good time to do some catching up with them.

So many decided on NUS. Ming Siew & Gaby planning on Russia. Amanda's going Bristol! The rest will stay in Malaysia (me included). Everyone's taking different paths, going different places. Even our holidays won't be at the same time. Hopefully we can still find time to meet up.

Went over to Gaby's house to continue the "celebration". Her mom's very friendly. They talked about packing for overseas. I was kinda relieved i don't have to go through all the "winter-time". But come to think of it, i'm kinda like in the opposite. They'll be so cold while i melt in KL. I do hope they have plenty of air-conditioning in IMU. Otherwise you'll see a skinny tomato in no time. XD

Yeesh! Ming Siew going to see MU.. and she's not even a fan! How can one! I'm gonna be crying on that day, 100%..

Salsas

Pa, Ma, me and my sis went to Salsas, Upper Penang Road for dinner last Saturday.
Just being able to be in town at night is a joy. And those super old heritage buildings never fail to fascinate me, especially when they're lighted at night.

Salsas was a disappointment. I mean..you have a Mexican name for a restaurant without serving Mexican food? Alright the environment was nice and all but the main course was tasteless, probably because the cook forgot there's such a thing called "salt". Spoiled the whole piece of nice salmon. Eesh..

Staying at home is probably the most restless thing that has ever happened to me! I don’t understand how some people (like my sis) can stay at home all day and not even wanna step out of the house. It’s just too 宅 lar. If it weren’t for this computer I would be playing dead by now. =.=”

I was preparing for IELTS whole of last week. The people from Internexia were really helpful but I’m still not sure if I can get that 6.5. My writing sucked really bad.

Dad’s birthday is coming soon, very soon. And I haven’t got him anything yet. All thanks to the fact that I’m stuck at home. Everyone at school’s having exams so all busy study study study. All the best to you guys! Don’t get too stressed up it’s just a mid-year. XD

WAM Retreat 2009..

was Awesomely The Awesomest! It was really refreshing to be outta the house and by the beach. For the first time I was really able to appreciate the beach. Having grew up on an island and seeing water everywhere, I tend to take it for granted when I see the sea.

The view was breathtaking, especially with all the rocks there. Too bad I couldn’t capture it on film in the absence of my (family) camera. But there were a few photographers with those SLRs I don’t dare touch in case I spoil anything. They were practically snapping everything.

Being a first timer there, I didn’t know what to expect. But it was a totally different experience from other camps like YLDP or Youth Quake. One thing is that it’s much shorter: just a weekend, which is totally insufficient in my point of view. I was back home just now and thinking: “Why so fast end already one?” It’s just too short!

Our guest speaker: Uncle Herbie, was so good he should come back next year, and the following year, and the year after that…Ok I confess I was kinda sleepy in the mornings but still managed to learn something instead of ‘fishing’ at my seat.

Actually every session was equally good for me. And God was really there, I could feel it. He was so real! I really liked that part after the 3^rd session where he asked us to feedback on what we felt the Holy Spirit was trying to say. It really taught me to not only feel God but also to listen to what he’s trying to say. Sometimes it’s just a feeling but I often don’t recognize it well enough to act on it.

And on this morning’s worship service, it was a style of its own man. I’ve never experienced something simpler and more focused than this. Using just short scripture passages in between songs (the accapella parts were great), it was just God and God alone.

One thing I feel I still struggle with, to me personally is my emotions when I see or hear testimonies. When I see people filled with the Holy Spirit I feel like crying. And when I saw Benjamin being anointed with olive oil I felt scared. I don’t know why. I’m not even sure whether its from God, or Satan or just me.

Shaun, not sure if you’ll read this but I was thinking of you when Uncle Herbie was talking about Mother’s Day. And again I’m not sure if it was from God or just me being overly sensitive. I felt you were like a lil emo, but didn’t dare ask you about it.

About the other programs I don’t think I wanna go into the details, not that it was insignificant but I lazy to write ready. Heeee..

The food was good btw.. I’ve reached 40kg! Yey!

What's With Danny

Watched American Idol Top 4 performance on 8tv yesterday. That last note from Danny Gokey was priceless! I’ve never heard something so awful come out of him. Lol. And I love him for that. Am I crazy or something..
Adam Lambert rawked! He’s definitely gonna be in the finals. I’m predicting he’s gonna be as popular as Chris Daughtry (which i lurv too btw). But if he wins then it’s another story. I still love Danny Gokey more and HE MUST WIN.
Allison shouldn’t have left. Kris should. I didn’t like his performance.

Why I love Danny? Well he first caught my eye with that smile of his. I practically melted. Not only can he sing, he’s got this warmth coming out of him that is indescribable. And then that smile again..Oooh!

WAM Retreat starts this evening. First time I’m joining. Will tell you more when I get back. Oh I’m getting out of the house at last! Been staying at home the whole week. Didn’t even step out for a sec. Not even a sec.

Chapter One

Been looking through many blogs recently, mostly comprising those from the Trinity Youths and Christian Youths. Still feel I haven’t done enough research. Do you need to do research to get a blog anyway? Well I have to admit, I’m too free now, I’ve practically nothing to do except for my IELTS practice which have been laying on the sofa like forever. I spent the whole of yesterday running through Anne Stephanie’s list of “Sexxay People”. Interesting list you have there Anne, coz I did not manage to get in to quite a number – either its private of they’ve deleted their blog.

Btw, I’ve had a not-so-good history with blogs. I hope this one makes it further than my first one, which was a mess. Actually, the more I read blogs the more worried I become. Some may think that it’s not hard to keep a blog but I do. I find it easier to write than to type. Well I’m a computer illiterate basically, so computer to me is a tool for googling stuff and emailing. Nothing else. Ok alright I do get my songs here also. But if u ask me on all the technical stuff I can really go blur I tell ya. That’s why I need help. Hehe. Well I haven’t found my blogging style yet that’s for sure, but I believe I will (someday) *winks. This place still looks a lil empty, will add more colour to it when I’ve figured out the ‘how-tos’.
